About CTL Leadership
We help leaders and teams get more done with less overwhelm, using brain science, so they can lead with clarity, confidence, and calm.
What CTL Leadership Is About
CTL Leadership exists for one reason: to help good leaders and teams stop running on empty and start working with more clarity and less friction.
The name carries the deeper story. CTL stands for Chase the Lion, a reminder that meaningful growth often asks us to move toward the hard thing instead of away from it. It is rooted in the belief that growth takes courage: facing what feels intimidating, making the hard decision, and acting with faith and purpose. Through practical, brain-based tools, Leslie helps leaders and teams recognize they are not stuck, clarify what matters most, and move forward with greater courage, confidence, and intention.
That conviction lives inside three words the brand is built on: Empower, Inspire, Transform. The throughline is simple: get more done with less effort, and lead in a way you can sustain.
Leslie's Story
Leslie Minchin, PCC, PMP, spent about 20 years in the corporate world, and over time she kept noticing the same thing: work felt far harder than it needed to be. People were stretched too thin, and that thinness quietly wrecked everything downstream, productivity, quality, and the customer relationships that depend on both. The pressure built, which stretched people even thinner. As she puts it, in that state one plus one does not equal two, it equals negative five.
So she started questioning the whole approach. The companies calling for help had people spread too thin, and sending in more spread-thin people to fix it made no sense. Leslie had always loved psychology, how the brain works, and how people work together. That pull led her to executive coaching and to a conviction that the real leverage is upstream: help leaders become more effective and actually see what is happening, and they can support their teams in a way that stops stretching everyone thin.
Her first plan was to build this work inside her corporate role, but it kept getting pushed aside for the parts of the job she did not love. Eventually the math became clear. As she says, the pain of staying the same outweighed the pain of change. So she left and started CTL Leadership.
Why Brain Science Changes Everything
Most leadership advice tells you what to do. Brain science explains why you have not been able to do those things, and what to do about it.
When you understand how the brain works, you can see why you do what you do, and why other people act the way they do. You learn why your decision-making stalls under pressure even when there is no real threat, and how to work around it instead of white-knuckling through it. It also gives language to things people feel but cannot explain, so they realize nothing is wrong with them. That is simply how we are wired, and not everyone is wired the same.
That understanding is what makes the change last, instead of fading like another good intention.
What Leslie Believes
Leslie loves helping people see the power and agency they already have. The best moments in her work are the reframes, the instant someone realizes they are not trapped, not stuck, not helpless, that they have a choice. A lot of her coaching is simply reflecting back what she hears until people find the answer themselves.
The tool she comes back to most is the Decision Filter: you define your values, then run your choices through them, so anything out of alignment stops stealing your time and energy.
It comes down to one belief that shapes everything she does: she helps leaders get out of their own way so they can lead teams people want to follow.
